Bauchi State Environmental Sanitation Task Force and Committee Law, no. 5 of 1986.

This Law establishes the Bauchi State Environmental Sanitation Task Force and specifies its functions, including: controlling dumping and disposal of waste; ensuring regular cleaning of waste from collecting points; cleaning and cutting grasses and other growths to ensure the neatness of highways; carrying out regular inspections of buildings for ensuring the respect of sanitary requirements; prescribing proper manners of ensuring against food contamination. Further matters covered by this Law include: establishment of an environmental sanitation court and specification of its jurisdiction and its powers; funds of the task force; offences; establishment of local government committees.
