Bauchi State Water Board Law, Chapter 165 of 1989.

This Law, divided into eight parts, establishes the Water Board Authority for the Bauchi State. The Law defines the following relevant terms: catchment area; health officer; gathering ground for rainfall collection; metered supply; owner; private and public supply; public fountain; waterworks. Matters covered by the Law concern: establishment, constitution and functions of the Board including: controlling, managing, extending and developing new waterworks, ensuring that water is supplied to the consumers at a reasonable price and in adequate quantity, organising comprehensive research for the purposes of the Board from time to time on matters relating to its functions; general powers of the Board; financial provisions; funds and resources of the Board; administrative organisation; powers and procedures in relation to water supply and water rates; offences and penalties.
