Borno State Urban Planning and Development Board Law 2000

This Law provides for the establishment of the Borno State Urban Planning Development Board. The Law concerns the following matters: power and functions of the Board, including: formulating and implementing urban planning schemes; maintaining infrastructure in relation to urban planning; purchasing and movable or immovable property in connection with its functions; promoting the establishment and expansion of companies or other bodies providing public services in relation to its functions; carrying out investment and related activities for the fulfilment of its functions; collecting fees for services provided; making regulations with governmental approval; developing the control of state lands. Further matters covered by this Law include: procedural matters for preparation of urban and regional development plans; financial provisions and funds of the Board.
