Control of Trade Cattle Regulations, no. 12 of 1943.

These Regulations, made under provisions of Section 3 of the Animal (Disease) Law, concern cattle intended for slaughter or for use as pack animals whether coming over land or purchased from any place outside Nigeria. The Regulations define the following terms: diseases; Commissioner; prescribed officer; trade cattle. Matters covered by these Regulations include: specification of areas of application of these Regulations; powers of Commissioner in exercising control of trade cattle; inspection station for trade cattle; marking of cattle for identification and prevention of the spread of diseases; issuance of permits for transport of cattle.
