Abstract
This Law regulates the licensing of dogs and the suppression of the spread of rabies within the State. By the provisions of this Law, a person deemed to keep a dog is obliged to obtain a license from the authority for the given area. In the control of rabies and other diseases, the Law places certain duties on the owners and the authority, with advisory services to be rendered by medical and veterinary officers. The Law also contains steep penal provisions.
