Enugu State Agricultural Loans Scheme Law.

This Law allows for the establishment and management of a Scheme for agricultural loans. The objectives of the Scheme are, among other things, the improvement of food production in the State by providing easy access to agricultural credit from commercial banks and other institutions which provide agricultural credit for farmers, the encouragement of farmers to form registered co-operative societies for a more effective and prudent use of agricultural credit obtained under the Scheme etc. This Law contains extensive penal provisions with regards to bribery to obtain credit, furnishing knowingly false information or failing to disclose useful information with intent to defraud, etc.
