Environmental Protection Agency Law, Chapter 51 of 1991.

This Law, divided into six Parts and consisting of 38 sections, provides for establishing the environmental protection Agency of the Adamawa State and for monitoring and enforcing environmental protection measures. The Law concerns the following matters: establishment of the Environmental Protection Agency; functions and powers of the Agency, including: protection and development of the environment, stimulating environmental research and technology, preparing periodic master plans for the development of environmental science and technology, conducting public investigations on pollution, defining environmental criteria guidelines, specifications or standards for the protection of the State's air and waters; management of the Staff of the Agency; financial provisions and funds of the Agency; general penalties.
