Environmental Sanitation Board, Edict no. 5 of 1986, Chapter 50.

This Edict concerns the establishment of the Environmental Sanitation Board and covers the following matters: constitution of the Board and appointment of its members; duties of General Manager and of the Secretary; funds and resources of the Board; functions of the Board including: collection and disposal of both wet and dry refuse including human waste; street cleaning and maintenance; sanitary inspection of all premises including abattoirs; nuisance control and abatement; control of industrial waste (liquid emission); control of water and air pollution; control of insects, vermin, flies, mosquitoes; investigation and reporting of infectious diseases; disinfestation and disinfection of premises; installation of refuse collection devices at appropriate points.
