Forest Regulations, E.R.L.N. no. 230 of 1956.

These Regulations, made under section 33 of the Forest Law, apply to all forest reserves, protected forests and to all the lands at the disposal of Government and to communal lands. The Regulations concern the following matters: power of chief conservator with respect to rights in forest reserves; issuance of permits and relating offences; protection of forest reserve and forest produce; offences relating to selling forest produce; measures to prevent forest fires; fees and royalties payable in respect of a permit; authorisation to fell trees in protected areas; marking trees and timber for protection and control; obstruction of waterways and navigation with timber.
