Gombe State Agricultural Development Programme Law, no. 5 of 1997.

This Law provides for establishing the Gombe State Agricultural Development Programme, as a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal. The Law concerns the following matters: departments of the Programme; establishment of the executive committee and of its members; functions of the Programme, including: strengthening research on agricultural extension measures, strengthening the ability of extension service to farming activities managed by women, increasing agro-forestry, soil and water management practices, increasing food security and reducing poverty through the supply of dry-season crops and the development of small-scale farmers. Further matters covered by this Law include: financial measures; funds of the Programme; appointment of targeted committees.
