Kaduna State Environmental Protection Authority Law (No. 7 of 2010).

This Law creates the Kaduna State Environmental Protection Authority. The Authority shall endeavour to achieve a sustainable development in the State and shall perform the following: (a) secure the quality of environment ad equality for the health and well-being of the residents of the State; (b) conserve and use the environment and its natural resources for the benefit of the State; (c) minimize the impact of the physical development on the ecosystems of the State; (d) raise public awareness and promote understanding of essential linkages between the environment and development within the State; and (e) co-operate with the Federal Environmental Protection Agency and other States Environmental Protection Agencies to achieve effective prevention of abatement of Trans-boundary movement of waste.
