Merchant Shipping (Pilot Ladders) Rules, Statutory Instrument no. 13 of 2010.

These Regulations, made under provisions of section 435 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 2007, apply to all Nigerian ships, and to foreign ships while they are in the ports of Nigeria. The Regulations concern: classification of ships, passenger ships and commercial ships including fishing boats and fishing vessels; provision of pilot ladder for certain ships; requirement and use of pilot ladder; provisions for ensuring the safety of the pilot into or off the ship or the ship's deck; supervision of rigging;
