Ogun State Water Supply (Ground Water Quality Control Regulations), 2017.

These Regulations, implementing provisions of the Ogun State Water Sector Law 2014, apply to any owners or occupiers of premises intending to drill or borehole for water abstraction. The Regulations define: abandoned borehole; water abstraction; aquifer; artisanal borehole; borehole head protection area; borehole casing; borehole drilling licence; certification; domestic purposes; consumers of water; contamination; groundwater investigation; industrial purposes; irrigation purposes; domestic and non-domestic water supply; sewage; water tariff. The Regulations concern: domestic and non-domestic use of groundwater; permit to drill borehole; disinfection and decontamination of borehole; protection of groundwater source and quality; water supply and consumption; offences and penalties.
