Pesticide Registration Regulations 2005.

These Regulations prohibit the manufacture, formulation, importation, exportation, advertisement, sale or distribution of pesticide in Nigeria unless the pesticide has been registered in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations. They also set out procedures and requirements for the application for registration and specify documents that shall accompany the application. These documents are principally related to safety of the product and its potential impact on the environment. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control shall decide on an application and, upon registration, issue a registration certificate.
