River Basins Development Authorities Decree 1979 (Decree No. 87).

The Decree provides for the continuation of eleven bodies corporate specified in section 1 which shall in their respective areas be responsible for the development, management and conservation of surface and groundwater resources, and also for the development of fisheries, improvement of navigation, the clearing of land, and the development of cultivation, livestock farming and forestry. Section 10 provides for the National River Basins Development coordination Committee. (12 sections completed by one Schedule)
