Water Sources (Control) Law, Chapter 150, (SSLN no. 1 of 1982).

This Law provides for the control and management of sources of water in the Sokoto State. The Law concerns the following matters: declaration of source of water, including river, lake, stream or waterway; interference with declared sources of water prohibited; power of the State Commissioner to prohibit interference with any waterworks; power to make Regulations; provisions concerning water rights acquired under Mineral Act of 1958.
