Abstract
These Wild Animals (Licenses) Regulations are formulated under the Section 23 of the Wild Animals Preservation Law [CAP. 151] of Ebonyi State.
The Regulations govern the issuance, renewal, and conditions of hunting licenses. Licenses may be granted by authorized officers and renewed monthly for fees ranging from 100 to 500 Naira, depending on residency status.
Special licenses allow hunting of specific animals like rhinoceros and eland, with strict conditions and limited issuance. License holders must maintain a game register, and ivory must be officially marked. Unauthorized hunting methods and marking of tusks are penalized with fines and forfeiture.
