Abstract
This Act provides for implementing the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2018 on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources (recast). The Act concerns the guarantee of origin for other gas from renewable energy sources, and defines the following relevant terms: conversion of energy; other gas from renewable sources; energy from renewable sources; final customer; guarantee of origin for sustainable electricity, and for other gas; trader; supplier of other gas from renewable sources; producer of other gas from renewable sources. According to the Act, the Minister is responsible for issuing, transferring and taking in guarantees of origin for other gas from renewable sources. The Act also specifies requirements for trader, supplier and producer, and empowers the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets for monitoring compliance with the provisions of this Act.
