Act No. 20 of 2004 amending the Act concerning Experiments on Animals.

This Act amends the principal Act in article 10a by adding two new commas: comma 7 allows release of an animal that is subject of an experiment and relevant consent of the Commission on Animal Experimenting to that release only when the release does not bring about suffering to the animal concerned or affects its health. Comma 8 concerns assessment of proposed testing on animals by the Commission and the requirement to recognize evidence of potential effects of the proposed experiment gathered in other countries of the EU, unless reasons of public health and public security require otherwise.
