Act No. BWBR0023009, containing provisions relating to safe navigation on inland waterways (Inland Shipping Act).

This Act, in compliance with the relevant European Legislation on the matters, applies to inland waters, in order to promote inland navigation, and harmonise the legislation through the provisions relating to access to the market, the technical condition of the ship, the ship measurement, the crew management, the issuance of certificates, the bring ship numbering and data provision. The Act concerns: zoning of inland waterways; requirements to access the market; restrictions on the use of ships and vessels; inspection of ships and vessels; ship measurement; vessel number and data provision; measures for collection and further disposal of oily and greasy ship waste, according to the 1996 Convention regarding the collection, delivery and intake of waste in Rhine and inland navigation; waste management fee; enforcement measures; administrative fines.
