Abstract
Sections 62 and 64 of the Fauna and Flora Act, which now collects various rules relative to the protection of plant and animal species, regulate the preparation (embalming, stuffing, etc.) of animals. The principal rule prohibits the preparation of animals of species to which the Act applies without a permit granted by the Minister of Agriculture, Nature Conservation and Fisheries. The Act contains furthermore various provisions that delegate authority to regulate granting of permits, exemptions, possession, transport, delivery, and importation and exportation of prepared animals or animals to be prepared. These matters are here regulated.
