Environmental Quality Decree

This Decree concerns rules on the quality of the physical living environment and the relating exercise of duties and powers. The Decree provides for the following matters: environmental values established in an environmental plan or environmental municipal ordinance; environmental values for the safety of primary flood defences; exceptions to environmental safety standards for primary flood defences managed by the central or by local governments; air quality directive and hazardous substances directive; environmental values and hazardous substances; environmental values for water quality; groundwater water quality levels; environmental values for water abstraction; specific tasks for the implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive; risk assessment of domestic drinking water supply networks; noise reduction measures; measures for the conservation or restoration of habitats and species; designation of national parks and protected areas; environmental quality programmes; flood risk management plan; watershed management plan; environmental permits; monitoring and information.
