Abstract
This Long-Term Strategy elaborates the need to reduce the country's greenhouse gas emissions and outlines the implementation of the legislation on the matter. The objective of Long-Term Strategy is to serve as a basis for further analysis, discussion and research in the years ahead, both at the national and the international (European and global) level, through the contribution of Scientific Council and governmental agencies. The Strategy describes current and proposed policies and actions, and the key challenges for the further transition for ensuring the main contributions to the transition in the longer term, such as the transformation of the energy system, the use of sustainable energy sources, the transition towards nature-inclusive and circular economy in agriculture and land use sectors, the reduction of food waste.
