National Delta Programme 2024.

This National Programme concerns the further development and maintenance of safe and sustainable delta works. It brings together the national government, provincial and municipal authorities, and water authorities. Knowledge institutes and stakeholder organisations are also actively involved. The Programme contains chapters dedicated to three core areas: the Delta Plan on Flood Risk Management; Delta Plan on Freshwater Supply; Delta Plan on Spatial Adaptation. It also contains a general chapter on developments in the National Delta Programme: more routes to a climate-resilient future and a chapter outlining progress by geographical area. this Deklta Pogramme is about speeding up implementation of measures propsed by previous Plans. It is committing to the acceleration of climate resilience and water robustness in other domains: in housing construction, agriculture and planning for rural areas.
