Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of 11 July 2008, no. TRCJZ/2008/2015, containing rules on aquaculture (Aquaculture Regulations).

This Regulation applies to the introduction of aquaculture animals and their products into and outside the Netherlands and defines, in compliance with relevant European Legislation: aquaculture production company; aquatic animals; aquaculture animals; aquaculture processing company, as a food company approved for the processing of aquaculture animals for food purposes; mollusc farming area; wild aquatic animal; quarantine; animal health certificate. The Regulation concerns: aquaculture production and processing establishments and transport of aquaculture animals; application of hygiene practices to prevent the introduction and spread of disease; programmes for monitoring animal health; trade in aquaculture animals intended for breeding; restocking of animals into the wild; trade in aquaculture animals and their products intended for human consumption.
