Abstract
The present Act lays down rules on adverse possession on property rights or use rights over things, including real property, movables and securities. The period of time for adverse possession of real property is 20 years, whereas for movables it is 10 years. For the right of use, the requirement is to use or possess the thing as a holder of a right of use. The Act contains the following chapters: (1) Scope of the law; (2) Adverse possession of property; (3) Adverse possession of use right; (4) Extinguishment of a prescriptive right in rem / for non-use; (5) Entry into force.
