Abstract
This Act regulates the exploration and other research of the seabed and subsoil of the territorial waters and continental shelf of Norway. A definition of continental shelf is given in section 1. Section 2 proclaims that the right of exploration belongs to the State. The Government may grant authorization to explore and exploit submarine areas appertaining to Norway and may be subject the authorization to conditions it deems fit. Authorization for the winning of sand and similar may be delegated to counties. (5 sections)
