Abstract
The Act originally consisted of 158 sections which are divided into fifteen Chapters (now almost all repealed): Ownership of watercourses (I); Water canalisation works (II); Draining and land reclamation (III); Sewer installations (IV); Pollution of watercourses (V); Exploitation of water power (VI); Navigation on watercourses (VII); Floating of timber (VIII); Protection against damage (IX); General provisions relative to measures regarding watercourses (X); Application for permits, approvals, etc. And assessment (XI); Compensation for surrender (XII); Supervision over watercourses (XIII); Compulsory surrender of power stations and waterfalls for public purposes (XIV); Miscellaneous provisions (XV).
The Act provides for various matters relating to all inland waters.
