Decree No. 650 of 2000 relative to unit quotas for Greenland shrimp fishing fleets.

This Decree applies to owners of fishing vessels which have obtained trawl licences in the sense of the Decree to regulate access to participation in fishing with trawl for shrimps of 1984. Unit quotas for shrimp trawling fleets that are eligible to fish in waters of Greenland are designed to contribute and adjust quota resources and operation range of single vessels. Yearly quotas for fishing shrimp may be divided into unit quotas for vessels in accordance with article 3. The number of unit quotas shall be equal to the number of vessels to which a quota was allocated in 1993. Article 4 concerns cooperation between ship owners, whereas articles 5 and 6 establish which ship owners are eligible for the allocation of unit quotas.
