Abstract
This Directive, from the Ministry of Energy, mandates that government agencies and the military prioritize energy-efficient products and services in their procurement processes. The instruction applies to contracts exceeding EEA threshold values and encourages compliance even below these values. It requires the purchase of products in the highest available energy efficiency class, unless deemed disproportionate in terms of cost, feasibility, or technical suitability. For service procurements, providers must also adhere to these efficiency requirements when supplying goods. Exceptions apply to defense-related procurements where national security interests prevail.
