Directive No. 784 of 1997 relative to registration of vessels which shall participate in fishing for shrimps in the Fisheries Protection Zone of Svalbard, in the territorial waters and the inner waters of Svalbard.

This Directive applies to Norwegian vessels holding a shrimp fishing licence and to vessels of Canada, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Faeroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Russia and to vessels of member states of the European Union. The participating vessels shall register with the Directorate of Fisheries and notify details specified in section 2. The vessel registered for participation may be replaced by another registered vessel (sect. 3). (5 sections)
