Abstract
The present Strategy is cross-sectoral and lays down the political framework for positioning Norway as a Food Nation globally by 2030. It envisions that, in 2030, food will be a source of joy, pride, good health and bonding in the population, and a visible element in Norway as a tourist destination. Moreover, Norway shall be internationally known for having an exciting food culture, for its large exports of seafood, and for its food and drinking experiences with Norwegian world-class ingredients.
The Strategy prioritizes four action areas to help achieving the government's vision: 1. Production and offering of sustainable, safe, and healthy food of high quality; 2. Creating the basis for growth and value creation throughout the country; 3. Innovation and diversity; and 4. Competence, recruitment and reputation building.

As regards innovation and diversity (3), the government will prioritize the following measures: Continue to prioritize business-oriented measures for food and tourism; Support the development of comprehensive innovation systems in the area of food that can respond to societal needs; Strengthen the link between public procurement needs and the food and catering services; etc.
Finally, as regards competence, recruitment and reputation building (4), the government will prioritize the following measures: Contribute to an increased knowledge among children and young people about a healthy and sustainable diet, the use of ingredients, practical cooking, food and food culture; Contribute to increased knowledge in the population about sustainable food production in cities and settlements; Work for increased competence and a strengthened recruitment in the food and catering industry; Contribute to building a comprehensive reputation that strengthens, further develops and positions Norway as a Food Nation nationally and internationally.
