Law on municipal watercourses and sewage facilities (Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Law).

This Law provides for the ownership and management of water supply and wastewater treatment facilities by municipalities. The law does not apply to smaller water and wastewater treatment plants and does not apply either to water and wastewater plants owned by another public body or to business enterprises (and similar) which are not linked to municipal facilities. In certain circumstances private sewage and water systems may be authorized (in case it is impractical to establish a municipal facility). The Law also provides for the payment and collection of a water and sewerage fee.
