The purpose of this Regulation is to ensure creation of Pasvik Landscape Protection Area as a distinctive natural and cultural landscape with rich flora and fauna, a range of habitats in the region as well as the preservation of landscapes and distinctive geological features. Protecting natural resources within the conservation area are important for Sami culture and economic exploitation. The area is to be used for reindeer herding and fishing and hunting is authorized within these borders.
