Abstract
This Regulation requires special investigations to be carried out by a chemical method in border controls for shrimps accompanied by a health certificate issued before 21 September 2002 to ensure that they do not pose a health hazard. The studies should aim to detect the presence of chloramphenicol and nitrofurans and their metabolites. The products cannot be imported until there are negative results from the separate studies to be carried out in accordance with this Regulation.
