Regulation No. 1183 on sand eel fishing in 2012.

The Regulation applies to the fishing sandeels. Each vessel may only fish and land one allowance of sandeels within the regulatory year. The catch may not be transferred to another vessel. It is also forbidden to receive and to land the catch if caught by another vessel. It is permitted to fish up to 40 000 tons between 23 April 2012 and 23 June 2012 in the economic zone delimited by lines as specified in article 2. Fishery activities are authorized if electronically registered with the Fishery Directorate to paamelding@fiskeridir.no before 23 April 2012. Norwegian vessels are eligible to participate in fishing of sandeels for a max. of 2 300 tons in EU waters in ICES statistical area IV.
