Abstract
The Regulation partly amends Regulation No. 1490, in particular article 2 - whereby subsidy is granted per kilogram, whole harvest or liter at rates set out in the Agricultural Agreement. No subsidy shall be granted for discarted commodities. Article 4 is amended to read: Subsidy shall be granted for the slaughter of traded sheep, lamb, goad and it can be due to producer subsidies for the slaughter of sheep, lamb and goat. Also, district subsidies shall be granted for the slaughter of traded pigs, sheep, lamb, goat, goat, ox, cow, heifer and calf. Transport grants may be given to slaughterhouses for the transport of animals to the nearest appropriate slaughterhouse. The Agriculture Directorate may make special provisions for freight subsidies for slaughterhouses operating harvest less than 1 500 tons per year.
