Regulation No. 1312 on funding for investment in sustainable food production and value creation in the north.

The present Regulation, adopted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, is aimed at (1) facilitating an initiative to strengthen vulnerable producer communities in Finnmark, Troms, and Nordland; (2) counteract a decrease in agricultural use; (3) increase land utilization: (4) increase the expertise of the agricultural sector and the food value chain; and (5) leverage regional advantages and opportunities in Arctic agriculture. Grants can be awarded to municipalities, organizations, research and development institutions, and businesses registered in the Business Register. Procedural aspects of the scheme are regulated in detail.
