Regulation No. 1398 on Jotunheimen National Park, Lom, Vågå, Vang, Luster and Årdal Municipalities, Oppland and Sogn/Fjordane.

The purpose of this Regulation is to ensure the conservation of Jotunheimen National Park. Among the provisions included in this document, its goal is to preserve the ecosystem of the natural area found between eastern and western mountainous area of Norway, and without the establishment of major infrastructure development. The geographic limits of this area are detailed under article 2. Within the National Park there will be a framework of conservation rules appropriate to exercise agriculture, hunting and fishing, teaching and research. A plan with more detailed guidelines for the management, maintenance, organization, information etc. shall be submitted and approved by the Norwegian Environment Agency.
