Abstract
The present Regulation applies to: a) breeding of purebred cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, and horses; b) breeding of hybrid breeding pigs; c) trade in breeding animals and breeding material within the EEA; and d) import of breeding animals and breeding material from countries outside the EEA. The Regulation implement several EU Regulations. In case of conflict between the first section, first paragraph of this Regulation and Regulation (EU) 2016/1012, the latter shall take precedence.
