Regulation No. 1616 on Protection of Merkesfloen natural reserve, Lierne municipality, North Trondelag.

The purpose of this Regulation is to protect Merkesfloen natural reserve to ensure growth of diverse range of natural forests. The natural reserve runs through location / BNR .: 20/2, 20/4 in Lierne municipality and covers a total area of approx. 4 171 acres. With its variety in terms of habitats, ecosystems, species and natural ecological processes, the area has particular importance for biodiversity, particularly in relation to older spruce, as part of a very large area, and in relation to rare species such as "Cyphelium Karelicum". Its aim is to preserve and develop conservation values in the most untouched condition. The purpose of this document includes the preservation of the Sami natural foundation.
