Abstract
The purpose of this Regulation is to preserve a fairly large and well-arranged old forest area with a high degree of continuity of pine forests, in addition to current number of old pines at the end of their life cycle. The area reserve contains several rare and endangered species including decaying. The area also has an interesting vascular plant and the occurrence of black alder swamp forest. The area has great biological value. It is an objective to maintain conservation values in the most untouched condition, and possibly develop them. The Regulation’s objective is to give attention to its biodiversity values in terms of habitats, ecosystems, plant/animal species and natural ecological processes. The natural reserve runs through location / BNR .: 182/1 in Jevnaker municipality. It covers a total area of approx. 4 060 acres.
