Abstract
The purpose of the Regulation is to preserve Svarverud River Nature Reserve - a forest area of 325 acres on calcareous soils that have particular importance for biodiversity in that it contains a well-developed stream gorge and a dry rock ridge with lime pine forest. Biodiversity is rich, with many demanding and vulnerable species and especially valuable deposits of mycorrhizal fungi in lime wood. Brook LaSalle has great value associated with lime spruce and moist spruce creek ravine with rich resources. The objective is to maintain conservation values in the most untouched state, and possibly developing them.
