Abstract
It is prohibited for Norwegian vessels to fish and land lumpfish in Nordland, Troms and Finnmark. However, each vessel that meets the requirements set by Chapter 2 of Regulation No. 1823 may fish and land a quantity of lumpfish corresponding to 3 500 kg of lumpfish roe. Upon landing of self-produced eggs the conversion factor is 1.2 to 1 kg manufactured roe for a set quota of 1.2 kg. The ban for engaging in fishing for lumpfish in Nordland, Troms and Finmark west of 26° E is after 20 June. It is prohibited to engage in fishing for lumpfish in Finnmark east of 26° E after July 5th. Limit at 26° E is drawn so that it matches the statistics area 03.
