Abstract
This Regulation prohibits in principal any fishing for or landing of bluefin tuna by Norwegian vessels in 2019. Exempted from this prohibition is the fishing of 239 tons of bluefin tuna to be caught in the inner waters, territorial sea or EEZ of Norway and the fisheries zone of Jan Mayen and the fisheries protection zone around Svalbard in accordance with conditions set out in this Regulation. Group quotas are specified for seine net fishing and line fishing. No vessel or sport and recreational fisherman may participate in fishing for mackerel fishing without the permission of Fisheries Directorate. Specific conditions for participation are specified for commercial fishing with lien or nets and for non-commercial (sports) fishing. Other rules concern bycatch, transshipment, etc. Participating vessels shall observe the rules of or made under the International Convention for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas.
