Abstract
The present Regulation lays down rules concerning the granting, amendment and withdrawal of aquaculture authorizations for salmon, trout and rainbow trout, with the objetvice of making these activities profitable and competitive within a framework of sustainable development, contributing also to value creation along the coast. The provisions are divided into the following chapters: 1) Objective, scope and definitions; 2) General provisions concerning aquaculture authorizations; 3) Authorization to harvest fish destined for food in marine waters; 4) Authorization to harvest fish destined for food in offshore locations; 5) Authorization to harvest fish destined for food in freshwater; 6) Authorization to harvest fish destined for special purposes in marine waters and in freshwater; 7) Authorization to harvest fish destined for food on land; 8) General provisions on the clearance of a site for aquaculture; 9) Final provisions.
