Abstract
The present Regulation lays down rules for cod fishing for the year 2023 in the North Sea and Skagerrak. It prohibits cod fshing beyond the established quotas. The total allowable catch for cod in the areas defined by the Regulation is 3 299 tonnes for the North Sea and 100 in Skagerak. Rules are laid down regulating vessel allocation accordig to fishing gear used, by-catch, use of fishing quotas throughout the year, transshipment, etc. The Directorate of Fisheries can order a fishing halt when the quotas have been fished up.
