Regulation No. 2408 on wrasse fishing in 2023.

The present Regulation lays down rules for wrasse fishing for the year 2023. It prohibits wrasse fshing beyond the established quotas. Provisions are laid down regulating the total allowable catch, vessel allocation and quotas, closed seasons, authorization for non-commercial fishing, minimum landing size, by-catch, information to be given when landing, use of fishing quotas throughout the year, transshipment prohibition, fishing methods restrictions, etc. The Directorate of Fisheries can order a fishing halt when the quotas have been used. The Annex contains fishing gear requirements to reduce the risk of ghost fishing.
