Abstract
The purpose of this Regulation is to protect the endangered species Dwarf Goose. Any form of removal, damage or destruction of the species and its eggs is prohibited. The Regulation applies to the ecological functions of this species and its breeding areas, except those areas in the sea and the breeding and moulting areas of Iesjávri and Inner Porsangerfjord. The following areas and seasons are protected: the spring between 1 May and 15 June; the staging areas in the fall from 10 August and 15 September; and during breeding between 1 May and 31 August. For this purpose, drainage of wetlands and cultivation is prohibited to ensure protection of the animals. The conservation action plan shall be established with guidelines for management, maintenance and other necessary measures to preserve the species' ecological functions.
