Animal Slaughterhouse and Meat Inspection Regulation, 2057 (2001).

This Regulation is made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 23 of the Animal Slaughterhouse and Meat Inspection Act, 2055 (1999). The Regulation provides for the setting up of authorized slaughterhouse for cattle (goats, sheep, and buffaloes), poultry and swine, the ante- and post-mortem examination by the Meat Inspector, the management of slaughterhouses by the Mean Supervisor: no adulterated meat shall be put on sale and no unlicensed slaughterhouse shall butcher animals and sell their meat.
